WW bios has a brand new CPU protecting function. If the CPU fan
reading of fan1 header lower than 2000 rpm, or the fan is connected
to header2/3/4 or directly to power supply unit, this BIOS will
automatically SHUTDOWN THE POWER IN 10 SECONDS. This design protects
the processor from damage by heat. Thus if you are not sure the
current CPU fan is correctly on fan1 header , DON'T UPDATE TO
WW PLEASE! The fan1 header is closer to memory sockets while fan2
header is closer to CPU socket. Wrongfully update to WW may cause
system never boot up again unless you connect a suitable CPU fan
on fan1 header. However, even the system meets fan1 requirement,
take the following steps after bios update please.
- Pull off the power cord or switch off the poser supply unit.
- Reset the CMOS data by moving the jumper from 1-2 to 2-3 for
several
seconds then put it back to normal position 1-2.
