My BIOS upgrade to ss was not successful. I apologize for not being able
to provide an accurate description of the error messages during the upgrade,
however, I recall that there was "Unknown Flash Type", and the system was searching
for command.com. I think this is all because my floppy disk was not bootable.
My attempt to re-direct the system to find those system files was also not successful. The question is, "Is my computer dead?"
I cannot start my computer at all for the last 10 to 15 times boot (plugging and unplugging from the power-point).
In those unsuccessful booting attempts, I have already tried holding down the "INSERT"
key to reset. I must emphasize that I was not trying "overclocking" at any point
during the ss upgrade. Is "boot-block" relevant in my case, or is there any other
remedy for my motherboard?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
